Heya, looked through the FAQ's and the forums for this, I'm having problems with the Portamento/Glissando effects on VST instruments.
Is this a known thing or am I missing something here?
I tried it with the MT2 effects, and the Impulse Tracker effects and can't seem to get any effect on the sound whatsoever.
Any insight?
EDIT: Spoke with someone in chatroom and discovered that it's possible to do this with a MIDI control command, I'm searching for that thread now. |

What we ofcourse need is more forum users solving their own problems before anyone even had the chance of answering
Therefore, welcome to the forum. |

Thanks...
I noticed some people still can't get it to work:
CC 4140 to set portamento ON.
Remember to adjust the portamento slide time -
CC 05XX, the 05 is the actual reference to the command, and the XX is the slide time, the higher the number the slower the slide. 7F is the slowest.
then don't forget to turn portamento back OFF with CC 4100 after the slide has finished.
This is truly a pain, but it works. |

Been writing a song that uses this and I've noticed that the MIDI CC command seems to be 1 step behind the rest of the song. So you'll want to put the commands one step behind where they should actually take place... |

Okay here we are, this is a remake of the Level 1 song from Capcom's arcade game Mercs.... You'll need GlaceVerb and VOPM plug-ins.
http://www.geocities.jp/sam_kb/VOPM/
VOPM emulates the Yamaha 2151 chip that was in the majority of all 80's and 90's arcade games like Double Dragon, Shinobi, Bad Dudes, 720 Degrees....etc
Not the easiest synth to work with but I love the damn thing.
Here's the mp3:

And the MadTracker 2 file:

I'm proud of this one, this is only my second song with Madtracker |

Gotta love them oldskool vibes! 2nd song? You must have been tracking a quite a while with other proggies... I guess, by the song, that it was a transition from protracker -> fasttracker -> madtracker! |

Thanks me drunk. Been tracking for more than 11 years... started writing music on PC Speaker, moved up to CMF, Creative Music Format(Generic soundblaster FM synthesis), to .MID files, to Screamtracker, to Impulse Tracker and I've stayed with Impulse Tracker all this time until recentley discovering Madtracker which I'm very impressed with I like being able to made tracker music with VSTi's
