editing the volume of a continuing sample

How do you edit the volume of a contiuning sample? I know how to put the volume of a sample into a specific value, but not how to make the volume slowly go down to zero for example. I already searched through tutorials and faqs and found a way to realise it in an uneasy way; just editing the volume of the track, but I want to edit the sample instead of the track. Is this possible and how?

Thanks in advance

Rob

Hello Rob,

You can do so in the properties of the instrument that holds the sample. Double click on the instrument that you want to change the volume properties of, click on the tab 'envelopes' and draw whatever curve you would like in the 'Vol.'-settings.
