Been searching around the web all day, what I need is a vst sampler that i can record to and play back with a midi keyboard, the ability to twist it around would be great too, so far everything I have downloded has no record, only load from banks, sorry if I missing something but I am a guitarist

Just to make sure: you're searching for a tool that allows you to a: record things (from an external source) and b: play back that recording via the triggering of a midi controller? MadTracker can do that. I don't know if regular VST samplers have a recording function, but it makes perfect sense that they should. Either way, check out MadTracker and see if it does the trick you want to perform. I think it does.
