While working on a prime number idea, about the rhythm of whole numbers creating primes, I used Madtracker’s imbedded delay. Problem is that after the 13th or 14th track the delay would skip ticks. And cause a slight offset. I found this out after setting a single pattern of 64 tracks to perform the rhythm of whole numbers.
Not that big of a deal that I couldn't get all 64 tracks to work, just that it exposed a delay problem... not anyone is ever going to use over 14 delays in a single song anyways, I just thought you should know. I'll post the links to the files, both of working delay and of the 64 tracks of delay. Oh yea, and that the delay has a limit of 32 lines, I knew that, first limit there then there id the 'tick' limit.
Kind of neat actually, sounds like an advanced snare drummer, only using ticks of a high hat. It might be system dependant but here is the link if you want to take a look, just reduce the tracks till it sounds steady, you will know when it skips a tick because it sounds way off from a line tick which is what I ask for. If that makes sense,

oh yea, the silence's are prime, you will notice through the first pattern this is correct, except in 32trackprime.mt2. . The 10trackprime.mt2 file will error on 11*11 were the 32trackprime.mt2 should error on 37*37 , both in error will not be noticeable just that they are in the next prime number larger then the track number squared.
If you still don't understand my bad, I'm trying to explain a pattern that forms primes, not the pattern of primes. Well maybe it goes hand in hand. But it doesn't matter, it still exists, and I have yet to see any documentation about the rhythm of whole numbers creating primes.
At least, can anyone confirm this? |
