How funny... You'll find loads of places where you can find samples right above your topic. Razz

Might be pleasing to implement two links inside MadTracker self, referring to www.madtracker.org/samples and www.madtracker.org/vst. Refer these pages to the accompanying thread in the forum. First time users can in that way get the wanted information immediately.

Madtracker instrument package

Hmm, there seems to be a big demand in Madtracker instrument. Maybe we should make a startup package, e.g. some Drumsets (909 or so) , basic leads, some strings etc. That could be added as a an additional download link as startup for newbies.

There's a demopack at mazsound right? I'm not sure which instruments are in, but that might be a good pack.

Indeed, I think it could be a *great* feature to add a samples downloading section, where everyone could be able to upload his ownmade samples / instruments (MTIs) to share them with the rest of the community.

If Yannick or Inge would like to set up something like this, they can already count on my own collection of samples Smile

Best regards, TNK

I absolutely agree with you. We could share and get the best quality samples/instruments for the community Wink

i agree too. a good idea! except sample-packs / instruments would have to be on a stable server or at least the links would have to be updated often enough so there won't be dead ones floating around.. hmm...

Confused

We could ask Yannick for webspace to host the instruments. Sure that would create a lot of expensive traffic then :/. Besides that it would increase the popularity of each contributor Wink

As long as you could download them all with one click, instead of clicking 327879321 links to download them (like most sample sites). FTP would be the best way to do it.

But the traffic would probably be expensive, so maybe ftp-access should only be avaliable for registered users. (yes, i am registred myself Smile)

(btw, why only "self made instruments"? Copyright issues or some weird scene-morale (that noone follows)?)
